8/419 Period 5 Marshmello music video

Today in period 5 music we had to watch a music video and decide if we write about what the girl was going through or what the doggy dog dog went through, I chose the girls perspective.

It was my birthday but I still wasn't happy even on a great day that happens 1 time a year to celebrate me getting older (and not dying), as I was spacing off about how loud everyone was I heard my mother calling for me and then I noticed my family was not in the room. (apart from uncle larry) but all the adults around me were my friends parents but then my family came in holding presents, my Mother was holding my cake I thought it looked tasty. Mum placed the cake down then as I was beginning to blow the candles out then one of my old friends came in and blew the candles out and that made me sad. Dad was heading towards me with a small bow, I lifted the lid off and I was disappointined at the sight of a bow. I put the bow back into the box and looked at the windows, but then in the corner of my eye I saw him coming back to give me something fluffy but I looked right back the window

Mode Mean and Median The 3 M's

Today in class (8/4/19) we improved in using Mode, Mean and Median. We did this to learn three new strategies, after all of this I still don't think I will use the strategies a lot because they they take a long time but they are good for difficult questions most strategies I know are much quicker to use.

(Update (10/4/19) We used Mean to figure out two questions 1. What was the mean temperature in Christchurch over the past 5 days? 19 18 16 15 20 the answer is 18, the next question is 2. What is the mean temperature predicted for the next 5 days in Christchurch? the answer is 13 and the last question is 3. What conclusion can you make for the two mean results? and my answer was it is getting colder because global warming isn't true or it's a slow progress, or its because it getting closer to winter. Overall knowing how Mode, Mean and Median work is useful.

At school the janitor was was blasting creeky old music from the lunch club and it was ear piercing

Today in music we had to add 5 keys to a simple sentence and at the end we see how much we changed from the original sentence, then look at how much better we got from adding keys.

C.I.P Re-cap

This term we chose birds/native animals for the art that we create from and I think it was a gppd choice because we have tons of native birds and we also have very artistic people in hornby, so I think if we all work together we can make it look nice and do it quickly without much trouble.

Making birds out of trash is good because it represents all of us as a community and shows our commitment of finishing things we start, what we are doing currently is a good learning tactic for young people to learn how to work with other people well.
