Hello, this is the last blog post on this topic, its about Tim Finn and The Herbs song.

What is the main message of this song?
It's about the Parihaka and what happened and that they will be remembered for the time to come.

What line explains their passive resistance method?
Te Whiti he used the language of the spirit.

What does ‘you can’t pull out the roots’ refer to?
You can't destroy their culture and spirit.

Give evidence of their determination?
"I know Te Whiti will never be defeated, And even at the darkest hour, His presence will remain."

How does this song show the significance of Parihaka?
The lyrics talk about what happened, and that they weren't aggressive.

What makes an event Significant?
If it affects people across the world, and can still be remembered even today.

How many people are affected?
The village of Parihaka and people throughout NZ

How long were people affected?
They were affected many years after the incident.

To what extent are people affected?
Parihaka was a place people called home then it was taken away from them.

    I like this blog post for 1 simple reason. You have shown the questions you were answering and changed the colour of the answer so it makes it very clear that the 2 different lines are 2 different text.
