Today in Science - Hurumanu we watched a video on what keeps us living and how we can help nature by take precautions on what we use.
- What animals keep our jackets warm?
- Birds, sheep,
- What animal makes our boots waterproof?
- The idea came from Ducks but plastic makes it waterproof
- Where does the water in our rivers come from?
- Melted ice and snow
- Why do we need healthy rivers?
- So we don’t drink bad water and get sick
- What are some of the good things about mosquitoes?
- The larvae cleans water and adult mosquitoes feed small fish
- Why are bees dying?
- Mites, pesticide, cellphone towers and diseases
- What do bugs do to our leaves
- Eat them and put holes in them
- Reduce means use less of
- Reuse meaning instead of throwing something out, just use it again.
- Recycle reuse but turn it into something else
- How much dung would we be in if there were no dung de- composers?
- 7 feet deep in dung
- Who runs this planet?
- Nature and all country leaders
